We discussed what we planned and what we actually did during the year 2024 for more information check out here

We stated several bullet points for new activities during 2025. If you want to join us in future endeavours. You can create a profile at our website and join slack to talk to us.

We plan to continue with:

  • Beers – regular event every first Wednesday of the month, without holidays at Barter near the Paradise Mall. Mostly it is organized by Sergi.
  • BBQ – this happens at the park, the number of the events is to be determined.  No particular person is in charge.
  • Paper Readings – mostly happens in Sunday at FMI (Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics) at Sofia University. It is organized by Petko. Someone chooses a topic and reads the paper and later presents it to the attendees.

Here are our new activities that are planned:

  • Organizing a group to attend conferences – there are discussions for conferences in Belgrade, Vienna, Berlin, Dubai and possible other locations
  • Data Quiz – this is a testing event, there can be future instances depending on the performance of the first event.
  • Code Roasting – the code produced of the person is being challenged by others.
  • Workshops – to be determined.
  • Coding Saturdays (This has 3 potential applications Social Causes, Kaggle, Scientific Data (Citizen Science Projects). The Social Causes are being driven by Dimitar. Their solution should have a beneficial aspect to society.  The Kaggel edition is about attending challenges as a team. Scientific data includes open source data provided by professional scientists but analysed by amateurs.  They could make significant discoveries and their names could be put as a co-author of a publications.
