Hoo Wai Lam received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Computer Science and his Ph.D degree from the University of Malaya in the year 2010 and 2015 respectively. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Malaya, Malaysia.
He is currently an IEEE member and a committee in IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Malaysia Chapter. Hoo Wai Lam received the B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Computer Science, majoring in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2010, and his Ph.D degree from the University of Malaya as well, in the year 2015.
He served as local arrangement chair for The 3rd IAPR Asian Conference on Pattern Recognition (ACPR2015), as publication chair for Asia-Pacific Signal and Information Processing Annual Summit and Conference (APSIPA 2017) and contributed as a reviewer in a number of journals and conferences. He served as a judge for FIRST Lego League in 2017. His current research interests include artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision and big data analytics.
